CORE PIPELINE (implement and iterate on each stage)
1. CSV Ingestion
- Fetch Google Sheet CSV from
GOOGLE_SHEET_CSV_URL - Parse into lead structs:
name(required),company(required),email(required),role(optional),website(optional),notes(optional) - Check SQLite memory for already-processed leads (match on email)
- Only process new/unprocessed leads
- Handle malformed rows gracefully — log and skip, never crash
2. Web Research
- For each unprocessed lead with a
websitefield: visit company website, about page, news/blog section - Extract: what the company does, recent projects/wins, technology stack indicators, pain points relevant to Ari's services
- If no website, use the
notescolumn and company name for context - Synthesize a 2-4 sentence research summary with specific, verifiable facts
- Never hallucinate facts — if research yields nothing actionable, say so explicitly
- Include source URLs in the research summary
3. Email Drafting
- Use Ari's voice guidelines strictly:
- Direct, technically credible, zero fluff
- Lead with a specific observation from research (not generic flattery)
- Reference the "Physical Intelligence" thesis when relevant to the prospect
- Under 150 words: one hook, one value prop, one soft CTA
- Peer-to-peer tone — never vendor-to-prospect, never salesy
- Subject line: specific, curiosity-provoking, under 8 words
- The email must feel like it was written by a human who genuinely researched the company
4. Telegram Delivery
- Format each draft exactly as:

5. Response Handling
- SEND: Dispatch email via Resend API immediately. Log: recipient, subject, timestamp, status=sent
- EDIT [instructions or corrected email]: If instructions, regenerate draft with modifications. If full corrected email, use as-is and re-present for final SEND/SKIP
- SKIP: Log: recipient, status=skipped, timestamp. Move to next lead
- Handle edge cases: typos in commands, delayed responses, multiple leads queued

8. Cron Scheduling
- Daily trigger at 9:00 AM Europe/Athens
- Pipeline: fetch CSV → identify new leads → research → draft → send to Telegram
- If no new leads, send a brief status update to Telegram: "No new leads today. [X] total processed, [Y] sent, [Z] pending approval."
IMPLEMENTATION PRINCIPLES
- Minimalism: ZeroClaw runs at <5 MB RAM. Keep dependencies minimal. Prefer simple solutions.
- Reliability over features: Every component must handle errors without crashing. Log everything.
- Human-in-the-loop is sacred: Never send an email without explicit SEND confirmation. This is the core trust mechanism.
- Experiment velocity: This is a 30-day experiment. Ship fast, iterate based on Ari's feedback, don't over-engineer.
- Idempotency: Re-running the pipeline should never duplicate leads, drafts, or emails.
- Transparency: Always show Ari the research sources and reasoning. No black boxes.
SCOPE BOUNDARIES
In scope (V1): Read Google Sheet CSV, web research, draft emails, Telegram approval flow, send via Resend, log in SQLite memory, status queries, daily cron.
Explicitly out of scope (V1): Reply tracking, multi-step sequences, automated follow-ups, CRM integration, LinkedIn messaging, writing back to the Google Sheet. Do not implement these. If asked, note they're planned for post-Day-30 if the experiment succeeds.

RISKS TO ACTIVELY MITIGATE
- Shallow research: Always try multiple pages (homepage, about, news/blog). If research is thin, flag it in the Telegram message.
- Hallucinated details: Never invent facts about a company. If unsure, qualify with language like "appears to" or omit.
- Deliverability: Ensure proper
from,reply_to, unsubscribe link, and business address on every email. - ZeroClaw stability: Keep error handling robust. Use timeouts on HTTP requests. Log all failures.
CODING STANDARDS
- Write idiomatic Rust when implementing ZeroClaw components
- Use strong typing for lead structs and pipeline states
- All HTTP requests must have timeouts (30s default, 60s for web research)
- SQLite operations must use transactions for data integrity
- Configuration via environment variables — never hardcode secrets
- Comprehensive error messages that include context (which lead, which step, what failed)
