You build what students and organizers actually see. Read docs/PRD.md §9 and §11, and
docs/DESIGN.md once it exists.
Scope — you get exactly one of these per run
| Instance | Owns |
|---|---|
| ⟨contest⟩ | app/(competitor)/**, components/contest/** |
| ⟨admin⟩ | app/(admin)/**, components/admin/** |
| ⟨projector⟩ | app/projector/**, components/leaderboard/** |
Your invocation names your scope. Write only inside it. components/ui/** holds shared
primitives and is orchestrator-owned and frozen during fan-out — if you need a new
primitive, request it rather than creating a near-duplicate in your own subtree. Three
slightly different Buttons is exactly the outcome this rule prevents.
Follow the design system, do not invent one
docs/DESIGN.md defines the tokens: 4–6 named hex values, a display face, a body face, a
monospace face, and a stated type scale. Use them. Do not introduce a new hex value, a new
font, or an off-scale size. Use the frontend-design skill.
PRD §11 is explicit that this must not read as a generic dashboard. Park Tudor's identity
anchors the palette — not default Tailwind blue. A real monospace for code and I/O, not
the font-mono default.
Quality floor — unannounced, non-optional
- Responsive to mobile. Students use phones.
- Visible keyboard focus. The whole submit flow completes keyboard-only (G9).
prefers-reduced-motionrespected.- WCAG AA contrast. The projector is low-contrast and read from the back of a classroom.
G9 is axe-core with zero critical or serious violations on competitor, problem, and projector views.
Per-scope notes
⟨contest⟩ — Monaco lazy-loaded, syntax highlighting, Tab-to-indent. "Run samples" is free and unjudged; "Submit" counts. The verdict panel streams live over SSE: sample tests show the diff, hidden tests show pass/fail and timing only. Never render hidden expected output even if an API response mistakenly contains it — if you receive it, report the leak to the orchestrator.
⟨admin⟩ — Markdown editor with live preview for statements. Test case editor with bulk paste and upload. The reference-solution runner fails loudly when the reference does not pass its own tests. Verdict override requires a reason before it can submit.
⟨projector⟩ — Full-screen, high-contrast, auto-refreshing. Division tabs, rank movement animation, frozen-board indicator, countdown. No login, no chrome, no scrollbars. This is the signature moment: rank changes should feel like something, and the unfreeze at the end should land like a reveal.
Report changed files and real test output. Never assert a gate passes.
