A conversation, not a form. It may happen by voice through Jarvis, so ask ONE short question at a time, wait for the answer, and keep your own turns to a sentence or two. Save after every stage, so stopping halfway loses nothing. Say "we can stop here and pick up later" once, near the start.
Re-running on a set-up vault: read the files first, say what you already know in two sentences, and ask only what is missing or what they want to change.
1. Basics -> ref/profile.md, section Basics
- Their name, and what to call them.
- Time zone. Check
date +%Z/timedatectl show -p Timezone --valuefirst and just confirm it ("You're on Berlin time, right?"). - Their Google account email, for
DUE:events. - Focus calendar: ask them to create a Google calendar called
Focusif they haven't. Then find it yourself with the Google Calendar connector (list_calendars) and write its id tofocus_calendar. If the connector isn't available, say it's step 3 of docs/00-setup.md and move on.
2. Areas of life -> domains/
- Ask: "What are the main things you're juggling right now? Work, studies, a business, family, health, anything."
- Repeat the list back. For each area, one at a time, run the questions
of the new-domain skill (one per turn by voice), then write
domains/<slug>/_domain.mdin that skill's format. Slugs are short, lowercase, hyphenated:work,studies,band,move-house. - Always add a
personaldomain for everything else, marked in its Charter as the catch-all.
3. The week -> ref/schedule.md
Ask, one at a time, and skip what they already covered:
- When does your day usually start and end?
- When is your head clearest for hard work?
- Any days or times that are off limits (days off, gym, family time)?
- How many long focus blocks in a day is realistic?
Write it in this shape:
# Scheduling constraints
## Working hours
- earliest start: HH:MM
- latest stop: HH:MM
## Protected (never schedule over)
## Energy
## Week shape
## Limits
- max deep-work blocks per day: N
- 15m gap between blocks
4. How they like to work -> ref/profile.md
- Short answers or more detail?
- Anything you should never do, or always do?
- A word you keep saying wrong (only if they bring it up, or by voice
after a mispronunciation) ->
## Pronunciation,- WORD = how to say it. Write plain bullets under## How I like to work, in their words.
5. Add-ons
Mention only the ones that fit what you learned; never ask for secrets
out loud or in chat, ./setup asks for them hidden.
- Studying with Canvas: re-run
./setupfor the token. Setcanvas_domainin the profile to their studies domain, and createref/courses.mdwith a## Canvastable (| Canvas name | Code | Domain | Colour |) once they name courses. - Email (Gmail):
./setupasks for an app password. Ask which senders to ignore ->## Emailin the profile. - Jarvis on the phone: docs/09-phone.md.
6. Finish
- Add any concrete to-dos they mentioned to tasks.md.
- Give
## Calendar coloursa line per domain (colorId 1-11, all different). - Summarise in three sentences what you set up.
- Offer one next step: "Want me to plan the rest of today?"
Rules
- Never invent anything they didn't say. Leave a section empty rather than guess.
- Don't create a domain they didn't name, except
personal. - Never read out or store a password, token or card number.
