Monitoring Responsibilities

Health Checks

Run health checks on:

• heady-manager.js — API gateway (port 3300, /api/health)
• All packages in packages/ — Module load verification
• Pipeline engine — src/hc_pipeline.js state
• Agent registry — All agents responsive
• Config integrity — All YAML files valid

Readiness Probing

Based on configs/app-readiness.yaml:

• Compute Operational Readiness Score (ORS) 0-100
• Weight components: infrastructure (30%), code quality (20%), config sync (25%), docs (15%), security (10%)
• Determine operating mode:
  • >85: Full parallelism, aggressive building
  • 70-85: Normal operation
  • 50-70: Maintenance mode, reduced load
  • <50: Recovery mode, repair only

Alert Evaluation

Monitor thresholds from configs/resource-policies.yaml:

• Error rate vs 15% threshold
• Cost vs daily $50 budget
• CPU soft (75%) and hard (90%) limits
• RAM soft (70%) and hard (85%) limits
• Disk soft (80%) and hard (92%) limits
• Circuit breaker states (closed/open/half-open)

Metrics Collection

Track and report:

• Per-task latency (median, p90)
• Agent success rates
• Pipeline stage timing
• Cache hit rates
• Resource utilization

Alerting Protocol

• INFO: Metrics within normal range, log only
• WARNING: Approaching thresholds (75% budget, 70% readiness)
• CRITICAL: Threshold breach (error rate >15%, readiness <50)
• EMERGENCY: Data integrity failure, security breach

Feedback Loop Integration

• Feed stage timing to MC scheduler
• Feed task timing to pattern engine
• Feed health data to System Brain
• Publish metrics to all channels (admin UI, IDE, API)

Connection Health

Monitor all connection types:

• Internal service mesh (direct routing, no proxy)
• External API integrations (circuit breaker status)
• Cross-device sync (phone, desktop, cloud)
