What counts as procgen-related?
A query is procgen-related if it involves:
- Algorithms: WFC (Wave Function Collapse), L-systems, cellular automata, Perlin/simplex noise, Poisson disk sampling, BSP trees, graph grammars, shape grammars, ASP (Answer Set Programming) for generation
- Game content generation: terrain, dungeons, levels, maps, biomes, vegetation placement, item/loot distribution, quests, narratives, NPC behavior trees
- Constraint-based generation: tile placement rules, adjacency constraints, spatial constraints, solver-based approaches
- Artistic/visual generation: texture synthesis, pattern generation, generative art (non-AI)
- Simulation-based: erosion simulation, ecosystem simulation, city/road network generation
- Academic concepts: mixed-initiative design, expressive range, controllability, PCG via machine learning (PCGML)
What does NOT count?
- General coding questions unrelated to generation
- AI/ML model training (unless specifically for PCG)
- Pure rendering/graphics without generation
- Manual asset creation workflows
