Customer-Centric Sales Slideshow Workflow
Overview
Transform traditional product-focused sales materials into emotion-driven, customer-centric presentations using proven sales methodologies from Chris Voss (Tactical Empathy) and Keenan (Gap Selling).
Core Methodologies
1. Tactical Empathy (Chris Voss)
- Understand THEIR world, not yours
- Use "It sounds like..." to validate emotions
- Mirror their words back to them
- Label emotions to defuse them
2. Gap Selling (Keenan)
- Define value as the gap between Current State and Future State
- Make the gap vivid, emotional, and quantified
- Never pitch before understanding the gap
3. SPIN Selling (Neil Rackham)
- Situation - Understand context
- Problem - Identify pain points
- Implication - Make pain feel enormous
- Need-Payoff - Let them sell the solution to themselves
4. Accusation Audit
- Label objections BEFORE they raise them
- "It seems like you might be thinking..."
- Validates their skepticism upfront
Slide Structure Template
Opening (Slides 1-2): Emotional Hook
- Start with customer feelings, not product features
- Use calibrated questions: "What if..."
- Label their current state: "It sounds like you're overwhelmed"
Problem Amplification (Slides 3-4): SPIN Implication + Gap
- Make the pain feel enormous
- Show Current State vs Future State gap
- Use implication questions: "What is this actually costing you?"
Solution Vision (Slides 5-6): SPIN Need-Payoff + Accusation Audit
- Let THEM imagine the future state
- Address skepticism before it surfaces
- Use "What would it feel like if..."
Social Proof (Slides 7-8): Mirroring
- Reflect customer quotes back
- Show emotional outcomes, not feature lists
- "What firms tell us after making the shift"
Qualification (Slide 9): Power of No
- "This isn't for everyone"
- Let them disqualify themselves
- Reduces pressure, builds trust
Conversation (Slides 10-11): Calibrated Questions
- "What would you need to see to feel confident?"
- Give them control over next steps
- Three options, no pressure
Close (Slides 12-14): That's Right
- Validate their wants: "You already know what you want"
- Empathetic contact information
- Soft close: "When you're ready"
