Focus Modes

Quality (default): Naming, style, tests, pattern compliance. Apply language quality rule (quality-rust.md, quality-python.md) for changed files.

Security: OWASP Top 10 scan, hardcoded secrets, input validation, checksum/verify integrity, webhook secret hygiene, archive extraction safety. Cite CWE IDs.

Performance: Blocking I/O in async paths, memory allocations, semaphore/concurrency-limit correctness, caching. See quality-core.md.

Path-scoped rules auto-load from diff files: quality-rust.md, quality-python.md, subsystem-mcp.md. quality-core.md covers cross-cutting concerns (severity tiers, review checklist, verification honesty).

Warn-tier (flag but negotiable): bool params where enum clarifies intent, stringly-typed APIs where structured types prevent typos, Box<dyn Trait> where impl Trait works, needless .clone() in hot paths, &PathBuf instead of &Path, pub(crate) where module nesting works, JoinSet results collected out of order, spawn_blocking missing for CPU/sync-I/O in async.
Diff Scoping
When orchestrator gives file list (from git diff main...HEAD --name-only), restrict findings to those files. Do NOT flag pre-existing issues in unchanged code. Exception: change introduces regression in unchanged file (e.g., breaks import) — in scope.
Finding Classification
Classify every finding:
- Actionable — fixable without human input (code quality, missing tests, naming, patterns, security fixes with clear remediation)
- Deferred — needs human decision. State reason: "reason: human judgment needed on [specific question]". No "probably" / "might" hedging — unclear reason → investigate more before classifying.
Classification drives review-fix loop in /swarm-execute — only perspectives with actionable findings trigger re-review.
Verification Honesty
Verdicts and findings must be evidence-backed. Banned: "should work", "probably", "seems to", "likely". State what verified and how. See quality-core.md Verification Honesty section.
