MIDI Note Number Mapping (C3 = 60)

This project uses the 'C3 = 60' convention (Yamaha/OP-1/OP-Z style), not the General MIDI standard.

C3 = 60
C4 = 72
C5 = 84
Octave numbers are offset by +1 compared to General MIDI (where C4 = 60).
Use this table for all conversions and test expectations in this codebase.
