Superhuman tested a notetaker internally, leading to the decision to acquire Fathom to integrate with its existing suite of tools.
Superhuman’s strategy centers around automating workflows triggered by AI prompts. The notetaker functionality will allow Superhuman to surface meeting context in real-time, enabling AI agents to draft emails, update data entries, and schedule follow-up meetings. This integration is intended to leverage the Superhuman user base of 40 million.
Competition in the meeting notetaker space is significant, with startups like Granola and Read AI also pursuing this market. The acquisition of Fathom is viewed as a strategic move to accelerate product development and reach a larger audience.
