Free Energy Principle Knowledge Base

The free energy principle (FEP) domain organizes the repository's treatment of the FEP across seven subdomains: applications, biology, cognitive science, implementations, mathematics, philosophy, and systems. Each subfolder carries its own short AGENTS.md index and document list.

Subdomains

applications/ — FEP applied across disciplines.
biology/ — biological formulations of the FEP.
cognitive/ — cognitive and neuroscientific treatments.
implementations/ — algorithmic and modeling implementations.
mathematics/ — formal and mathematical foundations.
philosophy/ — conceptual and philosophical analysis.
systems/ — systems-level FEP treatments.

Notes

The domain README.md is the navigation entry point.
Pages are conceptual; pseudocode within them is illustrative and is not package API. Executable implementations live in the cognitive and Things packages.
Authoring rules for knowledge-base pages are in knowledge_base/AGENTS.md.

Install free_energy_principle and it becomes one more candidate the router can pick - when it fits.

A listing is a routing target with a manifest: what it does, which domains it covers, what it costs and who publishes it. Once installed it sits beside your own models and tools, is scored like any other candidate for each request, and shows up in the trace when it wins. Ratings come from workspaces that installed it, one per account.
