Agent guidelines
Guidance for AI agents (and humans) contributing to this repository.
Confidentiality in commits, pull requests, and attachments
- Never mention real repository names, project names, or client names in commit messages, pull request titles, or pull request bodies. This applies to every repository this portal serves, not just this one.
- The same applies to screenshots, recordings, and any other media attached to pull requests or issues: no real project or client names may be visible. Compose screenshots from fictional placeholder data (for example "Aurora API" owned by "acme").
- Watch for indirect leaks: URLs, code search queries, log excerpts, and test fixtures in diffs all count. Use fictional names in test data.
- When describing a bug or verification, refer to repositories generically (for example "a monorepo with specs in subdirectories") instead of naming the real repository it was observed in.
Pull request targeting
- Open all pull requests against the
developbranch, nevermain.mainis only updated by mergingdevelopinto it as part of a release. - Stacked pull requests are the exception: a PR that builds on another open PR targets that PR's branch and is retargeted (or auto-retargeted by GitHub) when the base PR merges.
