When writing CookLang files, adhere to the following formatting standards:
- Inline Ingredients: Do NOT list ingredients separately at the top. Inline them directly into the step instructions where they are first used.
- Clean Formatting: Use standard decimals or fractions (e.g.,
1.5,1/8) and avoid HTML entities like& 1/2. - Timers: Use proper CookLang timer syntax for time durations (e.g.,
~{1%hour}instead of1 hour). For time ranges, do NOT use hyphens inside the timer. Instead, use plain text for the first number and CookLang syntax for the second (e.g.,7 to ~{8%hours}instead of~{7-8%hours}). - Units: Use standard abbreviations for units (e.g.,
Tbsp,tsp,lbs,cup). - Complex Prep: Group complex preparation details directly into the ingredient description (e.g.,
@pickling cucumbers sliced 1/4-inch thick{1.5%lbs}).
